The Importance of Prayer

S "After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place he was about to go. He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Luke 10:1-2

O Jesus told the seventy two disciples to pray for others to join in the work before he sent them out to prepare the citys and town for his arrival. He was emphasizing the importance of not only doing what he said but also praying for other workers to go with them.

A I will pray for God to send out workers as I explore opportunities to serve Him. I will not only pray for the unsaved, but pray for other concerned disciples to join me in reaching out to them.

P Heavenly Father, thank you for the awesome priveledge of partnering with you in the opportunities you give me to reach those who are far from You. I pray for many workers for the great harvest before us.
